In its pursuit of becoming a “World University Ranking” (WUR) institution, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (FTSP) Universitas Trisakti has initiated an international research collaboration and scientific publication effort with UCSI University. This research collaboration is set to run for the next eight months and involves research teams comprising FTSP lecturers, structured into three projects:

• Research Project 1 is led by Dr. Ir. Inavonna, M.T., and her team.
• Research Project 2 is headed by Dr. Ir. Popi Puspitasri, M.T., and her team.
• Research Project 3 is spearheaded by Dr. Lisa Oksri Nelfia, S.T., M.T., MSc., and her team, with student participation supporting the MBKM research program, as well as contributions from UCSI University lecturers.

These projects are funded by the Usakti LPPM with a PKLN (International Research Collaboration) grant, as well as grants from UCSI University.

This hybrid event will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, in the Meeting Room, Building C, where discussions will be held with representatives from UCSI University. Attendees will include FTSP Usakti’s deans and faculty members, along with UCSI University’s representatives, such as Ts Sr Dr. Nadzirah Binti Zainordin, Head of Research and Postgraduate Studies, and Dr. Ts Sr Khoo Sui Lai, Lecturer at the School of Architecture and Built Environment. Additional UCSI research team members will join via Zoom.

Dr. Ir. A. Hadi Prabowo, M.T., Dean of FTSP Usakti, expressed his hopes for the collaboration: “With this joint research and publication, we aim to expand opportunities for foreign student exchanges for summer camps and theses, as well as to explore public lectures and other forms of international collaboration, enhancing the quality of education.”

This research initiative has received exceptional support from the Director of LPPM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Astri Rinanti, M.T., IPM. It is anticipated that this international research collaboration will strengthen Universitas Trisakti’s position in the World University Rankings.
